This was my first wedding at Consall hall gardens near to Consall forge near Stoke on Trent,
and amongst some of the most beautiful countryside that Staffordshire has to offer. Set in around 70 acres of landscaped gardens, with wonderful photographic opportunities and follies abounding I’d been looking forward to this since first being booked by Andrew and Katie early last year.
Unfortunately the weather was against us on this particular occasion, with rain throughout the day. It wasn’t really my lucky day since I’d dropped a camera early in the proceedings and smashed a wide angle lens and a flashgun! ooops! This is where a professional photographer pays dividends and carries spares! which I had.
The venue however is stunning, as was Katie! The ceremony room is beautiful , the guests very friendly even braving the cold to be driven to the Italian terrace for the group shots. And the staff at this wonderful venue were only to pleased to help both the couple and I with whatever was needed to make the day a pleasure.
Since things over ran a little with the dinner and speeches (which were fabulous!) by the time we were able to get into the gardens darkness had descended, and I think this is the only time I’ve ever shot in almost total darkness, but we weren’t about to lose out on the wonderful opportunities, and as can be seen by the fireplace shots, all was not lost, in fact I love them…..shows what can be done with a fabulously co-operative couple and amazing venue staff.
I loved this wedding!, so many children, a hog roast, ice creams, such a friendly atmosphere and to top off the evening a Robbie Williams tribute act who went down an absolute storm.
Huge thanks to Andrew and Katie, and to the amazing staff at Consall. Hope you like these quick edits. Many, many more to come x zx
